97. Cottrell Old Yankee Ale

I had never heard of Cottrell brewing but came across this one at at The Good Beer Store and since I like ales thought I would give it a try. I was impressed with the color and head after the pour and the beer did not disappoint. Solid aroma with lots of different fruity smells. The beer was smooth and easy to drink as you would expect from a 5% ABV ale. This one went down so smooth it is hard to review as it was gone before I knew it.

67. Guinness Black Lager

Not a lot going on with this beer good or bad. My 2.5 star rating is generous but the color, head that lasts and slight lacing on the glass make it a good beer to look at. The taste is nothing special but it is easy to drink and with a low alcohol content you can certainly have more than one. If you want to impress your friends that are drinking the Miller, Bud or Coors Lite by drinking lots of dark beer this would be a good choice for you. If you enjoy truly good beer try something else.
Pros: Color, Easy to drink
Cons: Simple
Alcohol Content: 4.5% ABV
