I first had Magic Hat back in the late 1990's on a trip to Stowe Vermont at a little pizza place called Pie in the Sky, or at least that is how I remember it. It was years before I saw it in a store in Maine but it remains one of my favorites. #9 is very easy to drink, has great flavor and goes well with most any meal or just on its own. Magic Hat also must employ some artistic people as they have a great website and very creative labels. They also have little sayings under their caps which can be interesting. First cap was "Bryan loves.....wings". Not sure who Bryan is but I hope he is somewhere enjoying some wings. Second cap "All hopped up and nowhere to go"
Pros: Great taste, easy to drink
Cons:
Alcohol Content: 5.1%Calories: ???
IBU (Bitterness): 18
Rating:
Brewers Website: Magic Hat
Brewers Description: A beer cloaked in secrecy. An ale whose mysterious and unusual palate will swirl across your tongue and ask more questions than it answers. A sort of dry, crisp, refreshing, not-quite pale ale. #9 is really impossible to describe because there's never been anything else quite like it.
